John Brennan, former head of the CIA and current MSNBC contributor, has come out and stated that he is “worried” about leftist rhetoric.
Brennan is a man who has pushed extremist pro-Antifa, pro-BLM and anti-white material for years, so this is at first glance quite a reversal.
Juliette Kayyem, a professor at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a former assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, broached the topic of left-wing radicalization in a conversation on Tuesday with the longtime intelligence officer, with the discussion moderator seeking a “sense of balance” as she noted there appears to be a great deal of focus by the FBI on right-wing extremism.
In his response, Brennan acknowledged people who fall under a “broad rubric of antifa” while saying politicians should choose their words more carefully, lest they be used by political foes to widen a partisan divide within the United States.
“I am concerned about some of this rhetoric that’s coming from the Left,” Brennan said. “Again, I think ideologues on both ends of the political spectrum are dangerous, and there are individuals on the Left who are engaging in vigilantism themselves that fall under this broad rubric of antifa, anti-fascist elements. But I do think that ideologues are just blind to reality, and they do not look for ways to allow people from across that political spectrum to live peacefully together.”

That would not be my response.
My thinking when I hear this guy say “Antifa has gone too far” is that the government is ready to make sure that Antifa knows its place in a Biden Administration.
In particular, we can see that the intelligence agencies are not happy about Antifa siding with the Palestinians in the conflict in the Levant. The purpose of Antifa is to violently attack white people. This is the reason it is allowed to exist as a psycho domestic terrorist organization operating inside the United States. Its purpose is not to attack Israel.
In general, the far-left is not going to get much of what it is demanding from Joe Biden.
They are going to get:
- More immigration
- More censorship
- Black domination and defunded police
They’re not going to get any of their communist goals and they’re not going to get support for Palestine.
I see these comments from Brennan as a warning that some of this Antifa stuff is going to be trimmed in the near future as they start to go off in some other direction.
They were useful when Donald Trump was president, and they are useful for shutting down right-wing rallies and physically attacking others that the government can’t legally attack themselves. But in the larger scheme of things, as we move into a real totalitarian police state, there is no real purpose of Antifa.
Many of the members of Antifa will be pulled into this new system of order. But the whole thing of rioting and smashing everything up is not going to go on forever.
