Trump Launches “Truth Social”

Donald Trump’s “Truth Social” Twitter clone is set to launch today.

I haven’t been to the site yet, but I can tell you this: you’re not going to be allowed to talk about Jews.

And I don’t just mean you won’t be allowed to say “GAS THE KIKES” – I mean you won’t be allowed to criticize Israel.

It’s just going to be GETTR 2.0, except maybe without all of that bizarro anti-Chinese propaganda spam everywhere.

GETTR was funded by that fugitive criminal Chinese billionaire Guo (who, along with Steve Bannon, claims to be the leader of the Chinese government in exile), so the entire site was pushing this Falun Gong organ harvesting Squid Game gibberish everywhere you clicked.

Truth Social might have less of that.

But you’re not going to have the free speech you had pre-2017 on Twitter.

That is never coming back.

Apparently, Gab.com still lets you say whatever.

I went on Gab the other day to update the new site address, and it seemed like it worked better.

I’m still not really comfortable with the statements Andrew Torba made about how he is “always willing to work with law enforcement.” But maybe he has lawyers now, and maybe those statements make more sense now. At the time he said it, it appeared he was willing to give over any information to the FBI, without a subpoena.

But hey – whatever.

For the record, though I think Trump would ban criticism of Jews either way, because Jared Kushner is his manager, he is actually obligated to do it, because otherwise he’s not allowed on the Apple App Store or Google Play. Gab is not allowed on either of those, and I think Parler got banned from them too.

That’s why it was so ridiculous when the GETTR CEO did that interview with Tim Pool and couldn’t explain the censorship. It would have been so easy to just say “we have to do this to keep our apps on the app stores.” Instead he just flopped around like a weasel having a seizure.

I assume though that the app stores will start banning apps that allow “election disinformation” or “Covid misinformation” in the near future. Particularly if Truth Social were to get popular, they would just go ahead and change their ToS to ban it. So it’s truthfully pointless to try to cooperate with these rules.

It’s sad.

Everyone just wants to be able to talk.

That’s all.

People just want to have normal conversations like we had before 2017.

But that is regrettably not on the cards.
