UK: Home Secretary Considers Restrictions on Marijuana, Citing Mental Health Risks

Home Secretary Suella Braverman urges pot smokers to switch to meth: “it did wonders for the veins in my neck and hands.”

I’m a millennial, so I’m old enough to remember when it was wise and edgy to claim that marijuana could never cause any harm, and that was all made up by 1930s propaganda films like “Reefer Madness.”

Now, marijuana has become the vegan diet of drugs.

Daily Mail:

The Home Secretary is considering making cannabis a Class A drug over concerns that it is a ‘gateway’ to other harder drugs and causes medical conditions including cancer and psychosis.

Suella Braverman is currently reviewing evidence and reportedly agrees with a group of Conservative Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) who spoke out at the Conservative Party conference this week arguing for the drug to be upgraded.

Ms Braverman is said to be ideologically opposed to the decriminalisation of cannabis, telling close allies she believes it sends a ‘cultural’ signal that use of the drug is acceptable behaviour, The Times reports.

She is also said to be concerned at the evidence linking the drug to serious mental and physical health issues, including psychosis, cancer and birth defects.

Cannabis is currently a Class B drug, and upgrading it would have substantial impacts on police forces and sentencing guidelines.

I do not expect Britain to actually crack down on weed. The entire Western order pushes weed as a way to break the spirit of young people, and help destroy normal testosterone levels, which they view as a key threat.

This woman is an Indian, so she probably legitimately doesn’t want her kids using drugs, but that has no effect on a global consensus of American Jews.

The trend has been not only total legalization, but total social normalization. Canada is the model for the world.

Still, it’s kind of funny that there is enough documentation piling up that they have to come out and say “actually, this causes psychosis. Sorry about telling you it was good for children.”
