1/6 Hoax: Liz Cheney Says She’s Going to Criminally Charge People Who Ignore Subpoenas

It looks like Rick Wilson had a freakout in vain.

It’s truly amazing that Reuters still has the nerve to call it a “deadly” riot. Using the term “riot” is questionable, but “deadly” is just an outright lie – unless you are referring to the government killing Ashli Babbitt.

Reuters:

The U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol will move criminal contempt charges against those who do not comply with its subpoenas, Representative Liz Cheney, the panel’s vice chair, said on Tuesday.

The committee late last month subpoenaed four members of former President Donald Trump’s administration. They were Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows, former White House adviser Steve Bannon, former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino and former Defense Department official Kash Patel.

The committee has already threatened criminal contempt charges against Bannon for refusing to cooperate with the inquiry into the attack, in which a mob of Trump’s supporters stormed the seat of the U.S. government.

Those subpoenaed will have the opportunity to cooperate, but if they do not, the committee will enforce its subpoenas, Cheney, a Republican, told reporters at the U.S. Capitol. She leads the committee along with its chairman, Democratic Representative Bennie Thompson.

“In general, people are going to have to appear, or, you know, we will move contempt charges against them,” Cheney said. She said the entire committee was in agreement on that point.

What it has looked like from the beginning is that the Bidens want to round up the entire right-wing, and link them to this hoax, which allows them all to be somehow criminally prosecuted or otherwise designated as terrorists.

This plan is not going well, because these people are so incompetent. But it is definitely ongoing.

The “Liz Committee” has an official Twitter account that replied last week to Rick Wilson’s freakout, saying it was “nonsense.”

That implies that they are planning to eventually punish everyone involved on trumped-up charges.

The Congressional inquiry doesn’t have the ability to charge anyone with a crime, but they do have the ability to recommend charges by claiming that they have documented crimes that people committed.

It’s truly amazing that Liz Cheney remains an “elected representative for the Republican Party” despite the fact that no one is able to point to a single Republican in this country that she represents. But this allows for the media to claim that this is a “bipartisan” inquiry. It’s not really a great trick, since everyone knows who Liz Cheney is, and it just basically reveals that the whole thing is a massive hoax, with the media and the government purposefully trying to manipulate the public into thinking that “all reasonable people agree” that you shouldn’t be allowed to protest the government, and if you do it’s terrorism.

In general, we’re seeing very low levels of competence from this regime.

If they arrest Steve Bannon, that is going to look pretty bad.

But they are at the point where they just really don’t seem to care about looking bad, as they assume that because they have total power, they can do whatever they want. Every government in history which has taken this position – that it doesn’t matter what the population thinks, because we can just force them to do things against their will – has collapsed pretty quickly after developing that mindset.
