I’ve been a big supporter of gun rights my entire life, but I guess I just never understood the statistics.
As Joe Biden, a candidate for president and the US Senate relayed in the Democratic debate in Charleston, South Carolina this week, 150 million people have died from gun violence in America since 2007.
It’s a staggering number that you never hear about because the media is controlled by the NRA lobby. That is more than ten million people every year.
That is 32,000 people dead every single day from gun violence.
I had always heard that there were between 10,000 and 15,000 annual homicides by guns, with a significantly higher number of suicides (that gets included, probably dishonestly, in the “gun deaths” total that people automatically assume is talking about murders).
But that was just NRA lobby propaganda.
In 2007, America had a population of 477 million. Now our population stands at a mere 327 million.
If this trend continues, by 2050 America will have a population of zero.
We simply cannot afford to not round up everyone’s guns with door-to-door searches. We can’t have a country if we don’t have any people.
That’s why I’m voting for Joe Biden.
