Elizabeth Smart has a bizarre life story.
She is a Mormon, who was allegedly kidnapped and raped for nine months by another Mormon who was going full-Mormon.
Elizabeth Ann Smart was kidnapped at age fourteen on June 5, 2002, by Brian David Mitchell from her home in the Federal Heights neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was held captive by Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee, on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, and later, in San Diego County, California. Her captivity lasted approximately nine months before she was discovered in Sandy, Utah, approximately 18 miles (29 km) from her home.
Smart was abducted from her home at knifepoint by Mitchell, while her younger sister, Mary Katherine, pretended to be asleep. Mitchell, who claimed to be a religious preacher, held Smart at a camp in the woods with Barzee, where he repeatedly raped her. During her captivity, Smart accompanied her captors in public on various occasions and went largely unrecognized by those she came in contact with.
I say “allegedly” not because I don’t think she was with this guy, but because… who knows the details. Maybe she was herself involved. You can’t trust bitches, I can tell you that.
And Mitchell appeared to be treating her well enough.
It’s also possible that it was some kind of weird spectacle put on by her parents for strange purposes.
The parents were in the media constantly when it was happening. The whole thing seemed to be suspiciously similar to the JonBenét Ramsey horror show.
After she was “rescued,” the family became minor celebrities.
And then – get this – Elizabeth Smart became an ABC News host!
Weird went ultra-weird when in August, Smart’s father came out and told the world that he’s decided he’s gay, but he’s going to try to fix it.
Imagine it! A 64-year-old man with five kids and however many grandkids just up and decides he’s a homosexual. Furthermore, he decides to go to the media and tell them he is a homosexual, but that he’s going to try to fix that. Because the media will pay attention to him, because of that time 17 years ago when his daughter was kidnapped and forced to be a traditional Mormon wife.
This week, he went back to the media and said that he can’t fix it.
The father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart has revealed how he prayed he was not gay and struggled to accept his sexuality amid the collapse of his 34-year marriage.
Ed Smart made the stunning announcement that he is gay and would be divorcing his wife Lois and leaving the Mormon Church in August.
Three months later, the 64-year-old shared intimate details about his internal battle to come to terms with his sexuality in an emotional interview with CBS This Morning’s Gayle King aired Monday.
Ed described how he consulted with therapists and church leaders in hopes of concluding that he wasn’t actually gay, because ‘I didn’t want to believe I was’.
‘How do you cure being gay? There is no cure. And for all of those out there that are struggling in the same spot, there is no cure,’ he told King.
‘This is absolutely not a “choice”. And I wish my wife knew that. I wish that more than anything.’
Welp.
Couldn’t you just do what you’d been doing for the last 40 years?
There is no “cure” for heroin addiction either. You just have to stop doing it. You will never want to stop doing it, but you will just deal with that.
It seems to me that is the same thing with an attraction to men. You just put it out of your mind. You don’t say “I can’t stop wanting to engage in this evil act, so I’m just going to do it.” Especially when you’ve proven you can avoid doing it!
All kinds of people want to do all kinds of bad things. I want to do cocaine with hookers while listening to gangster rap and rambling about the planet being run by satanic cults, the inconsistencies in the Moon landing story, Atlantis and the Hyperborean age and the fickleness of reality. But I don’t.
The fact is that no one on earth doesn’t have a desire to do things which are not good to do. Surely, it is strange for that thing to be to ram your penis into the anus of other men, but the solution to the desire is the same: you just don’t do it.
The fact that this man has come out with this weird shit deepens the questions surrounding the original kidnapping story, and again makes me wonder if it wasn’t some kind of bizarre hoax. Maybe he sold his daughter to the man. The fact that she was only living 18 miles away seems more or less not believable at all.
Anyway, I guess we won’t ever know.
But this is the sort of thing we are dealing with these days. Everyone appears to have gone completely insane. It gives credence to the theory that electromagnetic waves are having an effect on our brains which we don’t fully understand.
