A man has been charged with murdering his friend in Winona, before setting his house on fire.
Steven E. Miller, 32, has been charged in connection with the March death of David Seaman, 55, who was found following a house fire at a duplex on 8th Street in Winona.
Miller had been in custody since the day after the fire, charged with residential burglary and indecent exposure, but has now been charged with 2nd-degree murder after autopsy revealed Seaman had died before the fire began, suffering multiple facial and skull fractures.
A criminal complaint against Miller said that the day before the fire, the 32-year-old was seen on surveillance video at a Walmart in Winona buying a camp stove fuel that was later found in Seaman’s house after the fire.

Miller has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and 1st-degree arson.
