Alleged Myanmar Police Said They Were Told to Kill Their Families If They Didn’t Support the Military

This is stupid and anyone who believes it is a retard.

AP:

A group of Myanmar policemen recounted their escape to India after defying the Myanmar army’s orders to shoot people who oppose the Feb 1 coup in the southeast Asian country.

While speaking, they raised a three-finger salute — a symbol of resistance to Myanmar’s military rulers.

That’s the Hunger Games thing that they started in Thailand as a public feminist outrage movement against the king.

It’s just a coincidence that these soldiers who were told to shoot their families were also supporters of the revolutionary movement.

“We cannot hurt our people, that’s why we came to Mizoram,” said one of the policemen, who hails from the northwestern town of Tedim. Mizoram is a state in India’s northeast, and shares a border with Bangladesh and Myanmar.

After the army coup, the policemen were ordered to “shoot people and not just the people, we were told to shoot our own family if they are not on the side of the army”, he said.

The Associated Press has not been able to independently verify these claims.

Obviously you can’t verify those claims.

Obviously.

What you could try to verify is if these people were actually police from Myanmar, which would be really helpful to the reader.

But you didn’t do that.

Indian villagers in Mizoram have given shelter to 34 police personnel and one firefighter who crossed into India over the last two weeks.

They spoke to an AP photojournalist on condition of anonymity because of fears of retribution against family members still in Myanmar.

Back in Myanmar, the three-finger salute, which traces its origins to the Hunger Games books and movies by Suzanne Collins, is being used by youth protesters at massive anti-army demonstrations.

Meanwhile, K. Vanlalvena, a lawmaker from Mizoram state, urged the Indian government not to deport refugees from Myanmar until the return of normalcy there. The lawmaker belongs to the Mizo National Front, an ally of India’s governing Bharatiya Janata Party.

We don’t even know that these people exist at all, let alone that they were police officers that resigned and fled the country (to speak nothing of orders to murder their own families). The US government could just be planting these Asia atrocity stories, just like they did before the Iraq war.

Firstly, no government would ever tell people to shoot random protesters for disagreeing unless there was an actual civil war. That is just blatantly true.

Some democracy protesters allegedly got killed in Myanmar (they’re saying 200, which sounds like corona math), but these are intense riots. They’re doing the very same Hong Kong thing, where they go out in helmets with gas masks and attack the cops with bats and metal bars.

These cops don’t know what to do and will occasionally freak out. Whatever. I don’t know why anyone would care what is happening in Myanmar in the first place, but apparently they do.

Secondly, even if you were in an actual civil war, you would not tell the military to kill their families.

They might as well have said “they told us to put on clown makeup and scream ‘we live in a society’ while we killed our brothers and sisters.”

I’m bringing attention to this not because the specific event matters, but because you can understand how this works by looking at a specific event. Fake nonsense is being published nonstop to create the same buzz around Asia that was created around Islam after 9/11.

It’s a trap, Jim.
