Apple has based their entire business model around selling unlimited amounts of iPhones. This strategy is failing so now they’re claiming climate change is going to help them with sales.

Apple has put out a report claiming that they are going to be able to sell more iPhones because of climate change. How can anybody believe that Apple is run by serious people when they issue statements like this?

Business Insider:

The dangers of climate change – from rising sea levels to more frequent droughts – are expected to have a devastating impact on society.

For Apple, a changing climate could also mean increased customer loyalty and demand for iPhones.

That’s one of the conclusions in a report Apple produced about its business, which was published on Tuesday by CDP, a nonprofit that collects information from companies about their environmental impact.

Apple is among numerous large companies, including Walt Disney Co and Bank of America, to provide similar reports to the organization identifying “climate-related” risks and opportunities with the potential to materially impact its business.

The surprisingly detailed report includes items about risks, opportunities, and the specific personnel at the company overseeing Apple’s environmental program. Apple confirmed that the answers were submitted on behalf of Apple and that the report is voluntary and isn’t required by a government regulator. While the estimates are based on public information, the report offers an interesting assessment of how Apple views the impact of climate change on its business.

They also claim that because you can use the iPhone as a flashlight that this will contribute to additional iPhone sales.

Another eye-opening opportunity that Apple identified in the report is that increased severe weather events could increase the demand for iPhones.

“Mobile devices can serve as the backbone communication network in emergency and quasi-emergency situations,” Apple wrote. “They can serve as a flashlight or a siren; they can provide first aid instructions; they can act as a radio; and they can be charged for many days via car batteries or even hand cranks. Over time, as people begin to experience severe weather events with greater frequency, we expect an increasing need for confidence and preparedness in the arena of personal safety and the well-being of loved ones.”

This is all completely insane. Other brands of smartphones have had these capabilities for awhile now. There are various flashlight apps you can use for the Android operating system as an example. And this is not a new thing. It is also quite humorous to see them talk about how mobile devices can be charged for days when Apple deliberately conspired to make the battery on older iPhone models drain faster. They did this to get people to buy new iPhones. The scandal dubbed “batterygate” resulted in 32 lawsuits against them.

Samsung, Huawei and other smartphone manufacturers are all putting out products that have capabilities that are at least on par with the latest iPhone models. In some cases you could argue that their products are superior. Many of these smartphones are also much cheaper.

So what reasons do people have to buy a new iPhone? At this point, you’re just buying it for the brand. You aren’t buying it for functionality or any other tangible purpose. You certainly aren’t buying it because of changing weather.

This is a desperate attempt by Apple to make people believe that they will be able to sell unlimited amounts of iPhones. But climate change itself is a proven hoax designed to push scams like carbon taxes on White people. So what they’re really claiming is that they can sell unlimited numbers of iPhones because of normal weather related events. No sane person is going to believe such a ridiculous claim.
