I’m sure at least one of these girls knew the killer quite intimately, if you know what I mean.
A teenager was killed and another female wounded in a shooting Thursday afternoon at a southwest Lansing housing complex.
The incident happened about 3:45 p.m. in the 3900 block of Burneway Drive, inside the Woodside Meadows development, just north of Jolly Road.
Officers found three females, two of whom had been shot, Lansing police said in a news release. The two shooting victims were taken to a local hospital by Lansing Fire Department paramedics.
Hanna Barron, 19, of Lansing, was pronounced dead, police said. The other victim was in stable condition on Thursday night. Police did not release her name or age.
Police were searching for a black male in his late teens or early 20s, dressed in dark clothing. Police said he ran into a wooded area just south of the shooting scene. A K-9 team tried to track him but were unsuccessful, police said.
