The warden of the federal jail in New York City where wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein killed himself was replaced Tuesday on orders of Attorney General William Barr pending investigations into the incident, the Justice Department said.
The U.S. Bureau of Prisons also placed two staffers at the Metropolitan Correctional Center who had been assigned to Epstein’s cell unit on administrative leave as probes into the death of the accused child sex trafficker continue.
“Additional actions may be taken as the circumstances warrant,” said Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec.
Replacing Lamine N’Diaye as acting warden of the MCC is James Petrucci, the warden of the federal prison in Otisville, New York.
I’m not sure what’s going on here exactly, as I understood the warden was Shirley Skipper-Scott.
That name is being used by a bunch of other outlets.
Lamine N’Diaye appears to be a Senegalese football coach.
Anyway – whatever. Some affirmative action nigger who took Epstein off of suicide watch and then didn’t have anyone checking in on him – and apparently didn’t even have cameras on him – was transferred. That’s Barr’s big move.
Barr said Monday that his department had learned of “serious irregularities” in the MCC, and vowed that “there will be accountability” in the wake of Epstein’s suicide.
“I was appalled, and indeed the whole department was, and frankly angry, to learn of the MCC’s failure to adequately secure this prisoner,” Barr said.

Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre was once spotted partying on a yacht in the French Riviera for Naomi Campbell’s birthday in 2001.
New photos have emerged showing the fresh-faced 17-year-old wearing a crop top and shiny pants alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime girlfriend who allegedly recruited Giuffre as the financier’s sex slave.
Also on board the yacht in Saint-Tropez was Campbell, who was celebrating her 31st birthday in a bikini top, and her then-boyfriend Flavio Briatore, an Italian businessman.
There’s no evidence that anyone at the party knew who Giuffre was or about Epstein’s alleged pedophile behavior.
A rep for Campbell denied she was friends with Epstein and said he had been invited to the party by Briatore, The Sun reported.

Maxwell, it is also now being reported, was bragging about building up blackmail on everyone who ever met Epstein.
Jeffrey Epstein boasted about having compromising material on “an astonishing number” of rich and famous people, it has been claimed, while his British confidante Ghislaine Maxwell reportedly told friends that she and Epstein were videotaping everyone who visited Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.
The claims come as expectation mounts that his long-term companion Miss Maxwell, 57, could be sought by New York prosecutors for questioning as a potential witness, as they continue their inquiry into Epstein’s activities, after his death.
