Pittsburgh homicide detectives today arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting deaths of two people in Knoxville last week.
Police said Antoine Ward, 38, was charged with two counts of criminal homicide and two firearm violations. Ward, whose last known address was in Beltzhoover, is in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment.
The bodies of Jason Eubanks and Cheralynn Sabatasso, both 36, were found Jan. 23 inside a vehicle in the 500 block of Grimes Avenue not long after a 911 call came in at 7:36 p.m. reporting six shots fired.
Police said Sabatasso was in the driver’s seat of her silver Lexus and Eubanks was in the front passenger seat in the 500 block of Grimes Avenue. An autopsy showed they had been shot in the head.
Ward’s criminal record dates back to 1996 and includes guilty pleas to aggravated assault, and gun and drug felonies, according to court records.
