Shocking testimony in the punishment phase of the murder trial of Kevin Davis. He’s pleaded guilty to killing his mother with a hammer.
On March 27th police found Kimberly Hill dead in her apartment.
A woman living on County Road 61 told police Davis had knocked on her door saying he had just murdered someone and asked her to call 9-1-1.
On Tuesday, jurors watched and listened to the police interrogation of Davis. He says he intended to kill his sister as well.
He describes how he killed his mom. I tried to strangle her with a cord. With a cord from a video game console controller. That didn’t work. She was sitting on the couch watching tv. That didn’t work out too well. She started screaming, and so I went went to her room, opened the drawer at the very bottom right I pulled out a hammer. I went back into the living room and well, you kind of get the jist from there. She was out pretty quickly.”
Questioning by CCPD Detectives R.L. Garcia and Ramiro Torres continued.
“When you dragged her to the living room, I mean to the bedroom, you kept on hitting her ? (Davis)Yeah. Kind of. (CCPD)That’s when you reached in a grabbed her brain again ? (Davis)Yeah. I kicked her out of the bed. Then, I just, I know that’s kind of silly, but I just decided to reach in and do it. (CCPD)Now what did you do after that ? (Davis)Then I had sexual intercourse. (CCPD)Was it your first time ? (Davis)Oh yeah. I lost my virginity to a corpse.”
The trial continues Wednesday in thE 214th District Court.
