The sheer volume of elderly that these people murder is incredible. How could you view an old woman as a physical threat? You would have to kill her just for the joy of killing.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the death of an 82-year-old grandmother in Scarborough.

The victim, identified as Stella Tetsos, was found inside her home on Elfreda Boulevard near St. Clair Avenue East and Birchmount Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the suspect broke into the home through a window and the murder is believed to have happened between Monday and Wednesday.

Investigators said the body was discovered by someone who had come to check on the victim.

An autopsy report determined the elderly woman died as a result of a blunt-force injury.

The suspect has been identified as Sinbad King Simba Marshall and he faces a charge of second-degree murder and break-and-enter.

The accused made a court appearance Friday but was adjourned until Nov. 25.

Police said Marshall also previously faced charges for forcible confinement and aggravated assault for a violent break-and-enter in the same Birchmount and St. Clair area in 2013.

The victim in that case suffered serious injuries.

The sister-in-law of the victim told reporters in front of the courthouse on Eglinton Ave. that she showed up to see “what he looked like.”

“I can’t really accept it,” said Anna Kutsopoulos. “I don’t even think she was 80 pounds, to see that guy there so strong. It’s devastating.”
