Black Drug Fiend Charged with Murder After White Woman’s Body Found Under Bridge

It was a gruesome discovery on July 29. The body of Rebecca Demuth, 23, was found under a Gentilly bridge. The FBI has made an arrest in the case.

Demuth’s body was discovered in the 4200 block of France Road under a bridge near the intersection of Almonaster. Police state that she was shot several times.

Following a several month investigation, the FBI’s Violent Task Force arrested 35-year-old Anthony Eugene. Eugene was arrested on Wednesday and a search warrant was executed at his Metairie residence.

Eugene has been charged with second degree homicide. He was transported to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office where he was also booked on multiple drug charges stemming from the search of his residence, agent say.
