Authorities have released surveillance photos of a person of interest in the shooting death of a Yazoo County scrap yard owner.
Ricky Saxton, 57, was found shot to death Nov. 13 in rural Yazoo County.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who was captured on camera at the Fred’s Dollar Store in Yazoo City on the morning of the slaying. The man in the photo is known to frequent the Jackson metro and Yazoo County areas, authorities said.
A $25,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Saxton’s killer. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 662-746-8477 or 601-355-TIPS.
