Black Home-Invader Sentenced for Murdering White Man and Shooting 3 Others

Aaron Markarian was murdered by Blacks when his home was invaded by them.

A 22-year-old Kansas City man was sentenced today to 30 years in prison for the 2013 murder of a University of Missouri-Kansas City student, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Friday.

Alonzo D. Ruff, pleaded guilty in October in the killing of Aaron Markarian, as well as the shootings of three other people during a home invasion in which money and cell phones were taken from the victims. The incident occurred March 21, 2013, inside a home near UMKC, just south of the Country Club Plaza.

Alonzo D. Ruff has been sentenced to thirty years, after pleading guilty to the murder.

Ruff pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, three counts of assault, robbery and five counts of armed criminal action. Prosecutors agreed to seek a maximum sentence of 30 years.

On Friday, Jackson County Judge Robert Schieber sentenced Ruff to 30 years on each count and set the sentences to run concurrently.

A codefendant in the case has yet to go to trial.
