A Pleasantville man with a history of sexually abusing children was indicted this morning in assaults on two girls ages 8 and 9.
Sherron Scott, 32, faces several charges, including three counts of first-degree aggravated assault on the two girls while he was dating their mother last year.
Scott was arrested in January, and ordered held pending trial by Superior Court Judge Benjamin Poldonick.An investigation began in July, after the girls told their father, who brought them to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
They each told of separate instances just after they got out of the shower, and said the assaults included Scott penetrating them with his fingers.
