Ocheil D. Keys, the boyfriend of missing Danville woman Barbara Rose, has been charged with six counts of first degree murder and one count of concealing a homicidal death, according to Public Safety Director Larry Thomason.
Rose, 50, was reported missing Tuesday, Oct. 24 by family members. After the report was made detectives began an investigation and obtained a search warrant for her home in the 1100 block of Cleveland, where Keys also lived.
“Sufficient evidence has been collected that prompted detectives to seek charges against 26-year-old Ocheil D. Keys,” Thomason said.
Rose’s body has not been recovered, Thomason said, but detectives have worked closely with the Danville Police Crime Scene Unit and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit.
