New Orleans police are looking for a “person of interest” in the October murder of a 31-year-old woman found shot to death in a Treme vacant lot.
April Davis, 31, may have “critical information” about Natalie Simsick’s death, police said in a release. Investigators found Simsick’s body around 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 21, lying in a vacant lot near the intersection of North Derbigny and Dumaine streets. Her pants had been pulled down, police said, and she had a gunshot wound to her head.

Anyone with information about Simsick’s death, or about Davis’ whereabouts, should contact NOPD Homicide Detective Melanie Dillon at 504-658-6080, or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
