How is this even possible?
Police in central Ohio say a man has been jailed on charges including rape for assaulting a bank employee.
Columbus police say 31-year-old Billy D. Anderson walked into the downtown Chase bank building late Friday afternoon and said he wanted to rent a safety deposit box. Police say he subsequently assaulted the female employee who was assisting him.
Police say Anderson fled on foot and was soon caught.
The woman was transported to a hospital where she was treated and released.
Anderson remained held without bond Saturday at Franklin County Jail on charges of rape, kidnapping and robbery.
The jail didn’t have available immediately any other information including whether he has an attorney.
