A school bus driver charged with raping a 15-year-old girl in University City nearly four years ago now faces an unrelated charge of trying to molest a 12-year-old girl.
Charles F. Laden, 42, of the 4100 block of North 22nd Street in St. Louis, was charged Thursday in St. Louis Circuit Court with attempted child molestation and resisting arrest.
Charging documents say that on Dec. 9, Laden tried to slip his hand into the pants of a 12-year-old girl while she was in bed at a home in the 4200 block of Red Bud Avenue. She pushed his hand away, and someone called police.
