It is just a random happening. Maybe a robbery gone wrong, maybe wrong place right time or whatever.
It was bound to happen, nothing anyone could have done.
Riley County authorities are seeking a Fort Riley man as a suspect in the Tuesday shooting death of a 27-year-old man in Ogden.
Riley County police spokesman Matthew Droge said the suspect, Tierre Wall, 26, is being sought in connection with the death of Casey Lindley, 27, of Ogden.
Droge said Lindley was shot around 2:10 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Skyway Drive and East Riley Avenue, just outside Ogden, a community of about 2,000 people located 5 miles southwest of Manhattan on K-18 highway.
Lindley was taken to a Manhattan hospital, then was life-flighted to a Topeka medical center, where he later died.
The Riley County Police Department early Wednesday afternoon obtained an arrest warrant for Wall, listing the offense of voluntary manslaughter, Droge said.
Police officials said they believe the shooting was an isolated event, though Wall should be considered armed and potentially dangerous.
According to information provided by the Riley County Police Department, Wall is a black man standing 5-3 and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and may be driving a 2002 GMC pickup truck with Kansas license plates.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Wall may call Riley County Crime Stoppers with anonymous tips at (785) 539-7777 or may leave tips online at www.ManhattanRileyCountyCrimeStoppers.com.
