Black Thief Arrested for Deadly Shooting of White Grocery Store Manager

Richard Anders, a manger of Mac’s Fresh Market was killed by a Black robber as he was making a money drop.

Camden police confirm they’ve made an arrest in the deadly shooting that killed grocery store manager Richard “Rick” Anders Friday night.

Police say 19-year-old Austin Hill of Camden will be charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery.

Authorities are set to release more information on the suspect Sunday evening.

CAMDEN, AR — The Camden Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information regarding the death of a Mac’s Fresh Market Grocery Store Manager Friday night.
Chief Boyd Woody says the victim has been identified as 63-year old Richard “Rick” Anders, the store’s general manager.

As of Saturday, Chief Woody says the Arkansas State Police are assisting his department with the investigation.  They are following a few leads, and gathering witness testimony.

CAMDEN, AR – Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a Camden grocery store.

Around 5:30 Friday evening, Chief Boyd Woody said a shooting occurred at Mac’s Fresh Market on Washington St.

The manger died as a result.

The investigation is ongoing.
