A 31-year-old Chicago mother has been charged with murder in the death of her 17-year-old son.
The mother, Robin Erwin, allegedly stabbed her son in the chest. Diontae Erwin was pronounced dead today at 12:41 p.m. at Franciscan St. Margaret Health. His death was ruled a homicide.
Witnesses claim that the mother and son were heard arguing over ice cream before the stabbing, but it is unclear whether that argument played any role in the stabbing. Erwin stabbed her son below his clavicle, piercing his heart.
