Investigators believe human remains found at a wastewater treatment plant Monday may be from the same body as remains found in Carson two days earlier.

While checking a clogged line at the wastewater plant in the city of Industry on Monday, officials discovered the remains of a human torso and head, said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Homicide Lt. Mike Rosson.

On Oct. 26, about 30 miles away in Carson, officials uncovered remains of a human leg and foot in a water pollution plant, officials said.
