The issues on the U.S.-Mexico border could soon start impacting the price of fruits and vegetables.
For fresh produce, time is of the essence. Now that wait times have increased on border crossings — because of a shift in personnel to address the border crisis — it’s been tougher for U.S. companies to bring fresh fruits and vegetables from Mexico.
And experts say that will impact prices.
Fruit and vegetable distributors that stock the shelves of grocery stores throughout America, including tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, carrots, pineapples, among others —rely on farms in Mexico for that produce. Forty-three percent of all U.S. fruit and vegetables come from Mexico, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

If this keeps up, it could lead to everyday American consumers finding produce more expensive with the supply drying up. University of Texas Rio Grande Valley economist, Salavador Contreras, said Americans are likely to feel the effects of these longer wait times.
“It’s going to be felt at the grocery stores when we start paying more for limes and our avocados at the grocery store,” Contreras said.
That’s indeed something that’s going to be felt, unlike the goblin invasion of the country and the replacement of white people.
See, you can’t really have a border because if you did, limes and avocados would become more expensive and people would riot and suffer tremendously. Taking people’s avocados is just a terrible thing and obviously worse than taking people’s country.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has offered bonuses equivalent to 5 percent of current salaries to agents willing to remain at their jobs for another year as the agency struggles with dwindling staff numbers and a surge in immigrants seeking asylum.
The retention incentive will be offered to GS-12 and GS-13 agents who agree to stay with CBP for 12 months. The bonuses will be paid quarterly, with agents expected to receive their first payments as soon as September. According to Fox News, the bonuses will cost taxpayers $84 million but will come out of an existing CBP budget.
“Investing in the men and women of the United States Border Patrol continues to be my top priority,” U.S. Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost said in a statement. “Their experience and expertise is critical to successfully accomplishing the border security mission.”
Building a wall would save money in the long run and it would also save your country, but you can’t have that because it’s against the human rights of goblins. Also because avocados.
So you have to spend $84 million dollars now just to pay for personnel to process goblins’ asylum claims and stuff, and then you’ll also have to spend millions again and again because each wave of the goblin invasion is only going to get bigger, as they have no reason to stop coming now that they’re aware that they can actually just scream “asylum” and get free stuff and be allowed into the United States.

The massive migrant caravan said to be making its way toward the U.S.-Mexico border is a result of Congress “not acting and continuing to encourage illegal immigration”, according to a border agent and top union official.
Hector Garza, the vice president of the National Border Patrol Council, made the comments on ‘Fox & Friends’ Thursday following the release of a video showing nearly 300 migrants entering Texas. Behind them, a new caravan estimated to contain up to 10,000 migrants is now heading through Mexico, with America its intended destination.
“This caravan is no accident. It’s actually the result of all these sanctuary policies,” Garza said. “It’s the result of Congress not acting and continuing to encourage illegal immigration.”
Garza says migrants are taking advantage of the way the U.S. immigration system processes asylum seekers in order to gain entry to the country.
