I guess they had to say something to explain martial law to shut down peaceful protests against a totally illegal enforcement of a strange gene therapy potion.
I can’t really think of anything they could have said other than “it’s a secret plan to overthrow the government and install a trucker dictatorship.”
But it’s still shocking to see government officials actually saying this.

A senior Canadian security official has said the anti-vaccine-mandate ‘Freedom Convoy’ protest is driven by a desire to overthrow the government, disputing demonstrators who insist they are fed up with the country’s pandemic restrictions.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino questioned the protesters’ motives, suggesting that outrage over ongoing vaccine mandates is merely cover for a more sinister agenda.
This is just the ultimate kookery.
If all of these people dancing on the streets, and all of these truckers, are actually part of a conspiracy to overthrow the government, there would have to be secret leaders. There has never been an unorganized peasant uprising that worked. There would have to be a leader, and in this case, it would have to be a secret leader.
And I don’t really think that it is possible that the international intelligence agency apparatus couldn’t locate that secret leader and his capos that are running this whole secret plan. It’s not possible.
They are talking about some kind of Hydra type force.
Secret plan to overthrow the government.
This is just kook conspiracy theory pablum fed to peasants.
“There have been those who have tried to characterize these illegal blockades about vaccines and mandates and fatigue with the pandemic,” he said. “That is not what is driving this movement right now.”
“What is driving this movement is a very small, organized group that is driven by an ideology to overthrow the government.”
While thousands of protesters have descended on the capital city of Ottawa and elsewhere to peacefully demand an end to the mandates, Mendicino cited a group of 11 demonstrators at a border crossing in Coutts, Alberta who were found to be carrying firearms and ammunition, calling the incident a “cautionary tale.”
“The seizure of a significant number of illegal firearms by a group that is very committed to the cause is something that we need to be very sober about,” said Mendicino, an ex-federal prosecutor.
There’s no way those weapons weren’t planted.
Here is a guy saying he’s a former RCMP sniper saying that he got info that the government was planning to drop caches of weapons near the protesters and then find them.
It makes zero sense that when the protesters are winning – and winning hard – that they would start shipping in weapons.
It makes total sense that the government would place weapons and accuse the protesters of planning to overthrow the government.
Just use basic logic here.
