Asians generally like rules.
It makes them really nervous when people don’t follow the rules.
The US is officially a rogue state at this point, and the Chinese are getting very nervous.
A senior Chinese government official said on Saturday that sanctions imposed by Western nations on Russia over Ukraine are increasingly “outrageous”.
Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng also acknowledged Moscow’s point of view on NATO, saying the alliance should not further expand eastwards, forcing a nuclear power like Russia “into a corner”.
China has yet to condemn Russia’s action in Ukraine or call it an invasion, though it has expressed deep concern about the war. Beijing has also opposed economic sanctions on Russia over Ukraine, which it says are unilateral and are not authorised by the U.N. Security Council.

“The sanctions against Russia are getting more and more outrageous,” Le said at security forum in Beijing, adding that Russian citizens were being deprived of overseas assets “for no reason”.
“History has proven time and again that sanctions cannot solve problems. Sanctions will only harm ordinary people, impact the economic and financial system… and worsen the global economy.”
It’s nice that Fox is printing the actual statements of the Chinese on their website. You’re not going to see that on their TV channel.
Sean Hannity will just summarize this as “the communist Chinese continue to voice support for the evil madman Vladimir Putin and his genocidal campaign against the freedom-loving Ukrainian people.”
As to the issue of sanctions – everyone knows that sanctions don’t work. They have never worked. They didn’t work against Iraq, though they killed 500,000 children (which was worth it, even though they didn’t work, said Jew Madeline Albright).

Sanctions have not worked on Iran or North Korea.
They haven’t really ever worked to solve any major conflict.
Sure, you can threaten to starve Africans to death if they don’t start doing gay rimjobs on each other.
But even that doesn’t have a great track record.
Several Christian African countries have continued to ban man-on-man anal activities, and said the US can do whatever they want to them in response; they’re not doing gay anal.
I can’t even begin to imagine what the US is planning to do about China.
If they do Russia-style sanctions on China, America will just starve to death, basically.
If they don’t do those sanctions, then China can just funnel goods from the rest of the world into Russia.
Several Republicans are now openly calling on Russia-style “steal everything and try to starve your population” sanctions against China.
It would be funny if these lunatics tried that.
