The Clinton Foundation reportedly hired an outside cyber security company to look at its servers after possibly being hacked.
Two sources familiar with the situation told Reuters on Wednesday that no document from Hillary and Bill Clinton’s charity organization has surfaced in the public.
One of the sources and two other U.S. security officials told the news agency that the hackers appeared to have used “spear phishing” techniques to get access to the foundation’s systems.
A similar technique was used to hack the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the party’s congressional fundraising committee. The technique included creating fake emails or websites in order to get access to the foundation staffers’ emails and then to the organization’s network.
The U.S. officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that the hackers used similar techniques Russian intelligence agencies or their proxies used against the Democrat groups, which might suggest that Russians also targeted the Clinton Foundation. Russia has denied allegations it was involved in the hacks.
Wait wait wait.
US officials are saying the “Russian hackers” used email phishing to gain access to DNC servers?
And it is being claimed that this is some sort of specifically Russian secret technique?
What?
For those who don’t know – because these quoted sources aren’t explaining it – email phishing is when you send someone an email, dressed-up to look official, that says “please confirm your password.” You also may send them an email that has a link to a fake site, designed to look official, where they are supposed to confirm their password (this adds another layer, making it seem more professional). Then you have their password.

It isn’t actually “hacking” in any true sense. It is just manipulating a retard into willingly giving you their password.
It hasn’t been confirmed that this is how the DNC was hacked. I had assumed that it must have been something a bit more sophisticated, but these are US officials being quoted by Reuters.
If this is true, no wonder they haven’t released more details. To say “we know it was Russians because only a state entity has the resources to send a phishing email and Russians are experts in phishing emails” would come across as absolute lunacy.
Anyway.
Let’s hope the Clinton Foundation was hacked. These leaks would be a whole lot more damaging than anything the DNC leaks showed, and it could well result in arrests.
The Clinton Foundation is a high-level criminal organization.
And they’re right in the middle of a gigantic scandal right now.
