They’re the spirit of our vibrant democracy!
All they were doing was trying to defend our sacred democracy in the name of the single most popular man who ever existed, who was elected with the most votes of anyone ever in history in a totally real election through the mail.
CNN:
Acting Metropolitan Police Chief Robert J. Contee told the House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday that two police officers have died by suicide since responding to the riot at the Capitol on January 6, according to Contee’s opening statement before the committee, which was obtained by CNN.
This is the first time the force has confirmed that two officers took their own lives after the attack.
“Tragically, two officers who were at the Capitol on January 6th, one each from the Capitol Police and MPD, took their own lives in the aftermath of that battle,” Contee said in his statement.The Washington Post was first to report about Contee’s statements on Tuesday.
This something a little bit off about CNN talking about the inherent nobility, bravery and honor of our nation’s police.
I can’t put my finger on it.
Oh no, wait – I know what it is. It’s that just a few months ago, CNN was saying that all cops were racists and pure evil, and effectively justifying violence against them as some kind of “racial retribution.”
Anyway, what is the suggestion here even?
Obviously, the cops killed themselves out of guilt, possibly because they agreed to take part in a conspiracy to “stand down” and open the doors for the protesters, who were then declared “insurrectionists.”
Cops are generally not great people, but they are still people, and they are Americans. They stood that day in the defense of an utterly illegitimate, usurper regime, against the true will of the American people.
They all had the option to throw their badges on the ground and walk away. They didn’t, and they’re all going to have to either live with that, or kill themselves. I won’t give any advice, but I know what I’d do if I’d ever committed an act of evil on this kind of historic scale.
