Probyn Morris.
WOW! AMAZING! SHOCK!
This never happens. Nothing bad ever happens to coalburners. First time ever.
On Wednesday, New Castle County Police identified Probyn Morris as the killer of 23-year-old Rachel Roberts. The two shared a child, lived together at some point, and, in July, Roberts told police she feared Morris after a “heated argument” over their relationship, court records state.
Roberts and Morris had a tumultuous and abusive relationship for years, according to family members. They had been together on-and-off for at least four years and had a daughter together in January 2017.
On Tuesday evening, Morris forced his way into a home in the Breezewood neighborhood of Ogletown, armed with a handgun, police said. Roberts’ mother escaped with the child before gunshots rang out.
Roberts was found in the yard, with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Morris was found later nearby with a single gunshot wound, and gun next to him. The Delaware Medical Examiners Office ruled the deaths a murder-suicide.
