Law enforcement officers are searching for a man they say tried to rape a woman after meeting her and her friend at a bar.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) says an arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for 23-year-old Colin Breshawn Toatley, who is wanted for rape and terroristic threatening.
According to a PCSO report, a deputy responded to the call around 6:30 last Thursday morning, where she found a woman standing in the doorway crying, with dried blood on her legs, arms and hands. The woman told the deputy she had just been sexually assaulted by a man she met at Mid-Town Billiards while out celebrating her friend’s birthday.
The woman said she met Toatley that night at the bar, and he bought her and her friend several drinks, then offered to follow them home to make sure they made it safely, which she refused. Toatley then told her it would be no problem because it wasn’t far away from his exit, so she agreed, according to the report.
As they arrived, the victim’s friend got sick, and she helped her into the home when she saw Toatley pull up behind her in a white Chevrolet Camaro, then follow her into the residence, the report states.
The victim asked Toatley to leave, which he said was no problem, but he needed to use the restroom first.
According to the report, Toatley called the victim into the bathroom, closed the door and grabbed her by the throat, telling her not to scream. He then put his hand over her mouth and began fondling her, the report states. As she fought with the suspect, he told her he would kill her if she wasn’t quiet.
