A Colorado man who is deaf and uses sign language to communicate said two Idaho Springs officers slammed him to the ground during an arrest despite his attempts to tell them that he could not understand their commands.
The man, Brady Mistic, said he was wrongfully jailed for four months over the incident on Sept. 17, 2019. He is suing Officers Nicholas Hanning and Ellie Summers, as well as the city of Idaho Springs and the Clear Creek County Board of Commissioners.
The suit, filed this month in U.S. District Court, says the incident began just after 7:30 p.m. Mistic was alleged to have run a stop sign before he pulled into the parking lot of a laundromat. Unaware that police had followed him into the parking lot, Mistic got out of his vehicle and began walking toward the laundromat, according to the lawsuit.
“As Mr. Mistic exited his car and walked past a dumpster in between his vehicle and the police vehicle, toward the laundry door, he was blinded by police vehicle lights and/or a spotlight shone by the officers,” the suit says. “He had no idea what was happening, what the police were doing, or if the officers’ presence had anything to do with him.”
Mistic stopped walking and used his hands in an attempt to communicate with the officers, the lawsuit says. Mistic uses American Sign Language to communicate, is unable to read lips and can vocalize only a few words, according to the suit. He usually writes messages on a piece of paper to communicate with people who do not know sign language, it says.
The lawsuit claims that without any “warning or attempt to communicate,” Hanning grabbed Mistic by the sweatshirt and threw him on the ground, causing Mistic’s head to hit the concrete.
Most of these “bad cop” stories have faded from the top of reddit since Joe Biden took office, being replaced with “hero police” stories.
As far as I’m able to tell from my daily redditing: Though they were once a group of metaphysically evil racists who hunted and killed innocent people of color because they hated the color of their skin, regular cops now sit among the ranks of the FBI and CIA as brave defenders of democracy.
If I could point to a specific time when the changeover took place, it would obviously be January 6, when formerly racist, skin-hating murderers transformed, body and soul, into defenders of Our Values and Who We Are.
The redditors were joyous that the killer of Ashli Babbitt would go unpunished (this was before they found out he was black).
More than hunting down racists, however, reddit seems most pleased with the way that cops, a group often referred to as “Badge Niggers” by freedom-lovers, have enforced the brutal coronavirus mandates. Leftists cheer wildly when formerly racist cops arrest business owners, or beat people on the streets for not wearing masks.
It’s quite something to see leftists switch like this so quickly, and not acknowledge the switch.
I guess they feel that cops went from enforcing a right-wing agenda to enforcing a left-wing agenda. That didn’t actually happen – cops have always done whatever the government told them to do. But what’s more, leftists claimed, outright, that cops were evil racists. Like, that individual cops personally hated dark skin colors, and that’s why they became cops – so that they could abuse and kill the diversely skinned.
All this switch proves, however, is that leftists really are just bots. They will repeat whatever authority says, at any time, and if the narrative of authority switches, their “opinions” will switch. This is because they don’t really have “opinions.” There is no filter between “what the government/media says” and “what comes out of a leftist’s mouth.”
Last year, lots of Democrats were fomenting “Vaccine Hesitancy” and said they didn’t trust the FDA.
This year, they are all for Vaccine Mandates.

So, what’s the point I’m trying to make here?
This: it is futile to argue with these people.
And yet, the entire conservative media establishment is obsessed with trying to argue with leftists, as if they are, eventually, going to formulate arguments that will convince them.
These people are jerking you off. That is what Sean Hannity, Breitbart, Ben Shapiro, Steven Crowder, etc., etc., etc., are doing. If it’s entertainment, okay. But they are not presenting it as entertainment. They are presenting it as a political strategy – to use arguments to convince leftists of the error of their ways.
It’s sabotage.
Leftists will believe anything, there is no point in arguing with them, and anyone who argues for arguing with them is trying to waste your time on purpose.
