Dairy Raises Risk of Prostate Cancer by Up to 76%, Reveals Review of 47 Scientific Studies

Look, kid.

Lemme tell ya somethin’, kkkkkkid.

I know a lot of anti-dairy stuff is being put out by vegan whackjobs.

Trust me, kid.

I’m fully aware of that fact.

BUT

Show me someone who cut out their dairy for three months and felt WORSE.

Daily Mail:

Consuming lots of dairy could raise the risk of men developing prostate cancer, a review of evidence has suggested.

Experts at the Mayo Clinic analysed the results of 47 studies that delved into the link between diet and the disease.

They found men who regularly ate dairy were between seven to 76 per cent more likely to get prostate cancer.

However, some studies found no link or even the opposite. Critics said the review suffered from a number of ‘weaknesses’.

The research, based on tracking more than one million participants for up to 20 years, is not the first to suggest dairy is linked to prostate cancer.

However, the results on cheese, milk and butter have thrown up mixed results and the risk is thought to be small.

It is thought eating large quantities of dairy increases the amount of insulin-like growth factor (IGF) inside the body.

The protein interacts with cells and causes a ‘cascade of reactions’, according to the World Cancer Research Fund International.

Prostate Cancer UK says the link between the disease and dairy products ‘might be because of the calcium in them’ – but added that scientists don’t know for certain.

Yeah it seems more likely it’s the estrogen.

Dr John Shin, lead author, has now called for more trials to investigate the link between dairy products and prostate cancer.

The study found no link to an increased risk of prostate cancer from other animal-based foods, such as red and white meat or fish.

See – they’re not shilling against other animal products here.

I don’t think these are fake studies.

I don’t think this is vegan shilling.

I wouldn’t trust the Mayo Clinic with my life, but they’re not vegan shills. In fact, they get attacked for being critical of veganism.

Not everything is vegan shilling, okay kid?

I also don’t think this Jap study on mushrooms is vegan shilling.

Daily Mail:

Men who eat mushrooms cut their risk of developing prostate cancer, a study suggests.

Researchers found the fungus was particularly beneficial for those over 50 who eat lots of meat and dairy, but little fruit and veg.

The Japanese study, published in the International Journal of Cancer, suggested those who ate mushrooms once or twice a week had an eight per cent lower risk of developing the disease, compared with those who ate them less than once a week.

Those who ate them three or more times per week had a 17 per cent lower risk.

Mushrooms are known to be good for lowering estrogen, which might just be related to the the fact they’ve been found to be good at fighting off prostate cancer.

Look, lemme tell ya somethin’, kid.

Ain’t nobody never took none of my health and fitness advice and told me I did ’em wrong.

My thinking is, try cutting out the dairy, see how you feel.

Also, try adding in some fish.

And of course, the above mentioned mushrooms won’t hurt (though that’s more of a long term health thing, for the prostate).

The one counter argument in support of milk is that it is more or less impossible to gain weight at any serious rate without eating dairy. I get that. But if you’re going to do that, you really, really need to get the good stuff. You need raw milk or cheese made from raw milk.

This is especially true if you’re going to keep it in your diet for an extended period of time.

I’m just telling you.

Them’s the facts.
