Democrat Defends Conspiracy to Hoax a Conspiracy: “Pissgate Wasn’t Our Only Thing, Tho”

When I saw the Democrat memo over the weekend, what I did not catch is their own attempt to downplay pissgate (“The Steele Dossier”).

One of the goals of this memo was apparently to say “yeah but pissgate wasn’t the only thing we used tho.”

The previous argument was first that pissgate was so damning that they had no choice, and then that they are just so dumb that they thought pissgate was so damning that they had no choice. But then it came out that the FBI and the DoJ both KNEW that pissgate was just a fake thing funded by the Clinton campaign – and that the FBI purposefully covered that up when seeking the FISA spy warrants. So now they are just like “ah well, you know – we had this other stuff too… it’s just all classified.”

So they are bluffing about stuff that cannot be released by law, claiming that it exists.

This is actually pretty clever.

Fox News:

A top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said Sunday that the memo his party released this weekend regarding alleged abuses in the federal government’s Russia investigation proves the so-called Steele dossier was only part of the evidence used to get a critical, court-approved surveillance warrant, disputing Republicans’ argument about the importance of the document.

The memo released Saturday is essentially a rebuttal to the one by Republicans on the GOP-controlled committee that argues the FBI and Justice Department relied on the loosely-vetted dossier to get the warrant on onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

“The application to warrant Carter Page was not based on the Steele dossier,” Connecticut Rep. Jim Himes, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee, told “Fox News Sunday.” “The dossier was just a small part of the application.”

But none of that alleged other stuff that made up the bigger part of the application is in the memo, because it is all classified, because it is directly related to foreign intelligence.

According to this guy.

That is not falsifiable, and won’t ever be. Or at least not for decades.

President Trump, who authorized the release of both parties’ memos, blasted the one by Democrats within minutes of the intelligence committing releasing it.

“The Democrat memo response on government surveillance abuses is a total political and legal BUST,” Trump tweeted. “Just confirms all of the terrible things that were done. SO ILLEGAL!”

And he argued that the Democrats’ memo didn’t challenge a key point in the Republican memo that the Obama administration’s FBI didn’t disclose to the FISA court who paid for the dossier.

“Dem Memo: FBI did not disclose who the clients were — the Clinton Campaign and the DNC. Wow!,” Trump also tweeted.

Yeah, no specific fact in the Nunes Memo was ever disputed by Schiff or the Democrats.

They only disputed the arguments. And they only did that through obfuscation.

The Democratic rebuttal said: “In fact, DOJ and the FBI would have been remiss in their duty to protect the country had they not sought a FISA warrant and repeated renewals to conduct temporary surveillance of Carter Page, someone the FBI assessed to be an agent of the Russian government.

Andrew McCabe himself admitted that the warrant was only issued because of the Steele Dossier. Although this guy is just saying that McCabe didn’t say that – there is no video of him saying it because his testimony was private, but the committee that interviewed him said he said it and this is the first time I’ve heard anyone say he didn’t say it. Nunes’ memo says he said it and the Democrats have admitted nothing in the Nunes memo is untrue!

And it doesn’t say in the Democrat Memo that he didn’t say that, because it would have been illegal to lie – this guy just goes on TV and lies, which is not illegal.

Chris Wallace asked him why it wasn’t in the memo, and he said it was because the transcript was classified. But they didn’t need to print a direct quote from the transcript. Nunes didn’t print a direct quote from the transcript when he said he said it.

So the whole policy at this point is: just go out on the media and lie and say whatever, just to keep this going.

They know that most Americans aren’t following this, because the media isn’t even attempting to make a coherent narrative, let alone tell the truth about anything – the media is in fact the key party behind all of this conspiracy, they worked with Steele to produce references for the FISA warrant, as the Nunes Memo said.

But even if the media was trying to make sense of it, it is so complicated and convoluted, no one who isn’t obsessive would be able to follow it. I have tried to simplify it as it has happened, and I think I’ve done a pretty great job (NOTICE ME READER), but I know that most DS readers if polled about it would just say “all I know is that it’s just a bunch of bullshit.”

So it’s really hard to produce damning smoking guns, because the masses don’t understand what they mean. You would have thought that “the FBI purposefully withheld the fact that they knew Clinton was funding the pissgate dossier from the FISA court and that Steele himself was an aggressive anti-Trump fanatic and that they had no reason whatsoever to believe the dossier was accurate when they brought it to the court” would have been the slam dunk where even the normie would be like “okay, I get it now – this is a gigantic conspiracy to hoax a conspiracy.”

If he wasn’t a Jew, Schiff would have resigned if not gone full Bud Dwyer when that fact came out, but instead he comes up with a plan to say “yeah, okay, we did that but the thing about that is, there was all this other stuff too, and that stuff was all like, really super-serious, but all of that is a secret that I can’t tell you about.”

Of course, if we were going to stoop to that level of bullshit, we would have to ask: “well if you had all of this super important super-secret stuff, then why did you deceive the court with something you knew was a hoax?”

But again – to even ask that question, you have to be as deep in this as I am, which probably only accounts for like 20 people on earth. And even I have to sit here and make sure I’m not getting the details confused when I write this stuff.

Every time I do write about it, I sit here literally think I literally need one of these literal conspiracy boards:
