Counting votes should be a simple process, but the Democrat Party wants to make it as complex and difficult as possible.
Democrats are raising concerns that next weekend’s caucuses in Nevada could be another disaster in the making. Like with Iowa, the state party is incorporating all sorts of unnecessary technology in the vote tallying process and volunteers have reportedly not been properly trained on how to use the system.
Anxiety is rising over the possibility of another tech-induced meltdown at the Nevada Democratic caucuses on Saturday.
In interviews, three caucus volunteers described serious concerns about rushed preparations for the Feb. 22 election, including insufficient training for a newly-adopted electronic vote-tally system and confusing instructions on how to administer the caucuses. There are also unanswered questions about the security of Internet connections at some 2,000 precinct sites that will transmit results to a central “war room” set up by the Nevada Democratic Party.
Some volunteers who will help run caucuses at precinct locations said they have not been trained on iPads that the party purchased to enter and transmit vote counts. Party officials scrambled to streamline their vote reporting system — settling on Google forms accessible through a saved link on the iPads — after scrapping a pair of apps they’d been planning to use until a similar app caused the fiasco in Iowa two weeks ago.
The volunteers also said the party has not provided sufficient training on how to use the Google form that will compile vote totals, a complicated process in a caucus.
The concerns, which were described on condition of anonymity because the volunteers are not authorized to speak to reporters, come at a perilous moment for the Democratic Party. As the third state on the primary calendar and the first with a significant minority population, Nevada holds huge importance in the nomination contest. The debacle in Iowa cost one state party chairman his job and threatened the standing of the national party chairman, while casting doubts about whether the results from party-run caucuses can be trusted.
Nevada Democratic officials insist they have everything under control. But a repeat of Iowa — or any kind of breakdown — would be disastrous.
Talk about making the simple complicated. Counting votes and reporting votes should not be difficult. Incorporating apps, forms and other elaborate technology into this process is totally unnecessary. Tallying votes can be effectively achieved using pen and paper. Reporting the results requires nothing more than a simple phone call. All this technology does is increase the possibility of fraud and chaos.
Quite simply, there are far more negatives with using technology to count and report votes than there are positives.
On top of that, the vast majority of people who volunteer to work elections are boomers, who generally speaking, have no idea how to operate a smartphone or even a laptop effectively.
It’s honestly hard to tell if this is just a case of blatant incompetence, or if this is part of a deliberate effort to engage in vote fraud. The Democrat Party is an operation largely run by Jews, stupid feminist women and low IQ racial minorities. So based on the party’s demographics, it is possible that it is a combination of the two.
It’s also painfully obvious that there’s been a deliberate effort by the Democrat Party establishment to rig the nomination process against Bernie Sanders. They already did it in 2016 and they’re doing it again in 2020. Even though Sanders is Jewish, many of his racial kin are nervous about the brand of Marxism that he wants to implement in America. There are also a number of Israeli Zionists who oppose Sanders, believing that he would not be adequately supportive of Israel.
At least according to the polls, Sanders is favored to win Nevada. So all of this insanity that we are seeing play out could absolutely be a continuation of the Democrat Party rigging the process against him.
Ultimately though, these problems are once again revealing how democracy is an insanely horrible form of government. Any reasonable person should be able to look at this situation and agree that there are intolerable levels of dysfunction within this system.
