The allegedly 16-year-old Total Climate Commander looks sadder than ever.
Climate change activist Greta Thunberg looked serious today as she left a meeting at the global climate change summit in Spain.
The Swedish environmentalist, 16, was seen leaving the Complutense University of Madrid after attending an event at the social summit for the climate.
She looked serious as she wrapped up in a blue and grey tracksuit as she left the building along with streams of other people who had attended the meeting.
“Looked serious” is an important understatement.
She looked dead inside. Empty. Gone.
There is nothing behind her eyes.
“How dare he?”
She appears to be coming to terms with the fact that a tiny, balding, frail-looking aging woman past her prime being the only voice of the youth in regards to climate change isn’t the brightest of ideas.
At the meeting she said she wants to take a secondary role at the two events she will attend in the second week of the summit, saying ‘I don’t want to be the only voice of youth at the summit,’ according to people present.
The social summit for the climate takes place from the 2nd to the 13th of December during the COP25 Climate Conference.
She should have thought of that before giving the media what it needed to turn her into the climate change icon.
The attention must have felt good at first, but now she’s likely realizing that along with her fame came responsibility and that people will scrutinize her — especially when she’s promoting the vegan diet while looking like Smeagol midway through his transition into Gollum.
Greta’s appearance today comes after she said on Friday that the global wave of school strikes for the climate over the past year has ‘achieved nothing’ because greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise.
She said that although schoolchildren had been striking around the world, this ‘has not translated into action’ from governments.
In her speech she also warning world leaders that a growing youth-led protest movement meant they could no longer hide.

‘The current world leaders are betraying us and we will not let that happen anymore,’ Thunberg said in a brief speech to the protesters, some of whom had chanted ‘We Love You Greta.’
What are they going to do, though?
They could start by making the “Friday” school strike climate protest things into full-week climate riots. Their apocalyptic tone, combined with the fact that they’re only skipping school one day a week always seemed weird.
If they want to make their stand to save the planet or whatever, then they should go all the way through.
If the planet is really at risk, there is no time for Friday-only measures.
There is no planet B.
‘Change is coming whether you like it or not because we have no other choice,’ she said.
About 15,000 marchers took part, according to a municipal official in Madrid.
Young activists formed a human shield to protect Thunberg, but the crush of onlookers was so intense that she had to be whisked to the stage at the end of the rally in a red electric car.
That “change is coming whether you like it or not” slogan-like line that she likes to use, and her being against climate change, make for a comic combination.
Climate change is coming whether you like it or not, Greta.
