Larry Watts.
Nothing to see here.
Move along.
One arrest has been made in connection with the Sunday murder of Arnold Gwathney.
The suspect in the case is identified as Larry Watts, 34, also of Forrest City. He is being held on a parole violation at the St. Francis County Jail while state police special agents continue the homicide investigation, related vehicle theft and robbery.
Watts was picked up after the ASP says he ran from the scene of a car crash that occurred after a police chase that started in Brinkley. The chase began after Brinkley Police Department officers responded to the robbery of a Family Dollar Store about 10:55 a.m. Sunday. During the investigation it was determined a suspect in the robbery was driving a Toyota sedan which was later spotted by local police along U.S. Highway 79.
Watts was apprehended by an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officer.
