Rodney Bernard Braziel, 28, is accused of killing 23-year-old Blake Justin Hendrix of Bryceville, who was found about 2 a.m. Feb. 16 on the road behind a Burger King at 1020 King St., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Braziel was being held without bail at the Duval County jail on charges of second-degree murder and discharging a firearm in public, Sheriff’s Office records showed.
The Sheriff’s Office arrested Braziel on Friday after obtaining a warrant. He was booked into the jail at 10:55 p.m., records show
Police discovered Hendrix dead in the roadway after off-duty officers in the 1200 block of King Street heard multiple gunshots.
People then directed officers to the Forbes and Downing streets area behind the Burger King, the Sheriff’s Office previously said.
