When you’re a black man, you really don’t want to be talking about a group of people being collectively stupid. Because that might come back to bite you.

This week, CNN’s Don Lemon – a black man – had Rick Wilson, an anti-Trump Republican on his show, and Rick began mocking the stupidity of Donald Trump supporters by using a Southern accent.

Lemon lost it, and burst out laughing for 90 straight seconds. Because talking about a group of people being collectively stupid was funny to him.

Well, Don, I have a question for you: what about the blacks?

Because I’d bet I could do an impression of a black accent and make fun of your people’s behavior.

And we could go on and on and on.

I agree with Don Lemon that we do need to be looking at the collective stupidity of certain groups, and I have no issue with various groups of white people being looked at in these studies.

But I can promise you this: you’re not going to find any videos of white Southerners acting the way you see blacks acting in any of the above videos.

Don Lemon may regret starting the discussion about the collective intelligences of various groups.
