Everyone knows what’s going on.
RT:
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan avoided giving a direct response when pressed by CNN on Friday on whether he genuinely believes that Washington is trying to unseat him. Instead, he criticized US President Joe Biden for viewing him as a “dictator.”
Erdogan, who is vying for another presidential term in a runoff election, accused the US leader of plotting his demise last week. “Biden gave the order to topple Erdogan, I know this. All my people know this,” he told a rally in Istanbul ahead of election day.
The Turkish leader appeared to be referring to statements made by Biden in January 2020, when he said Washington should encourage Erdogan’s opponents to defeat him in an election instead of ousting him in a coup. Ankara later condemned the comments as “interventionist.”
Imagine that the US leader goes around saying these things in public, while accusing others of “election interference” for allegedly posting memes.
What is NED, Joe?
In the interview with CNN on Friday, Erdogan left the question of US involvement unanswered, noting instead that he is following democratic procedures in the election.
“How could someone who is going into a runoff election instead of [winning] the election in the first round be a dictator? That is the reality.”
If re-elected, he vowed to work with Biden or anyone else who assumes control of the White House, while also criticizing the US and its allies for their attitude towards Russia, saying the West is not taking a “balanced approach” in its relations with Russia. He added that Türkiye has a “special relationship” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which helped in extending the Black Sea grain deal.
(I can’t tell if RT editors are trolling the “Kyiv” thing with this spelling of “Turkey,” but I’m going to assume they are, because otherwise it’s really gay.)
He shouldn’t be having elections. Or, he can have an election, but the opposition should be arrested and imprisoned beforehand, and his supporters attacked by brutal thugs.
No one can have an election when the US is on the loose in your country, and the US is on the loose in most countries.
You can do a plebiscite, where there is no opposition party allowed, if you feel the need to let the people know you’re open to criticism.
It’s nice to do elections, I’m sure – in a world without the Jewnited Snakes all up in your business. But the Snakes are crawling around like rats, everywhere.
I have never thought there was any chance Erdogan could actually lose to the NED guy. He seems to have total control. However, though it is clear he will win, I do not think the runoff is a good look. The US can claim he stole the election, and stir up their fifth columnists.
Erdogan has a serious weakness in that he’s still holding all of these immigrants. People do not like immigrants. No one likes immigrants. This is the main problem that people have in Turkey.
