I don’t even know what Erdogan is up to anymore.
He takes all of these weird, conflicting positions.

Ankara and Tehran will continue their economic relations despite the US leaving the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, according to Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci.
“It is an opportunity for Turkey. We will continue to have trade with Iran while complying with the UN resolutions on nuclear activities,” Zeybekci said, as quoted by Anadolu news agency. Turkey has “more extensive” economic ties with Iran, including energy imports from the country, he said.
The Turkish minister stressed that Iran is a “friendly and a brother”country for Ankara. “We believe in this: The stronger Iran gets in this region, the stronger Turkey becomes as well, and the stronger Turkey becomes, the stronger Iran gets as well,” he said.
The decision of the US President Donald Trump to exit the nuclear deal will lead to the re-imposition of American sanctions that had been suspended in 2015, including financial restrictions which made it extremely difficult for global companies to do business with or in Iran.
Turkey is a Sunni country, which has generally been aligned with Saudi for the most part, and was involved on the ISIS side of the war. They were trading weapons for ISIS oil, which was allegedly being shipped from Turkey to Israel.
They were also obviously letting all of these international terrorists going to join ISIS use their airport and cross their border unchecked.
Then they shot down a Russian jet.
Then for some reason they started hating the US and became friends with Russia again, and sort of even with Assad, and invaded Northern Syria and killed a bunch of Kurds who were rebelling against Assad.
Now they want to be friends with Iran.
I guess Erdogan has official flipped, even though his country is still technically a member of NATO.
This is pretty much the last guy on earth I would ever even consider trusting.
He is earth’s most competent self-serving psychopath.
Remember, while flooding Syria with ISIS, he was the one who was flooding Europe with ISIS refugees…! Then he took billions from Merkel to stop the flood, but would constantly threaten to open it back up after he got the money.
The guy is a friggin lunatic.
Over the last 5 years, he’s betrayed:
- NATO
- Russia
- The EU
- America
- Saudi Arabia
- ISIS
- Israel
- Syria
- The Kurds
And presumably others.
But if he’s fighting for the good guys now, let him fight for the good guys.
He has a real military, which is already broken the hymen of his southern border and done some very serious operations in Syria, so who knows? Could he end up siding with Russia and Assad against Israel?
Based on his record of behavior, he could pretty much do anything.
