Another one drops off… not that anyone thought this guy was going anywhere.
Honestly, a fat President would be nearly as bad as a Black or a woman.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie won’t be allowed on the main stage at the GOP presidential debate on Fox News Tuesday night. He failed to rank among the eight candidates with the most support in national polls, and the network relegated him to the undercard debate.
Polls, though, are uncertain. Even under the best of circumstances, they can’t always reliably distinguish candidates who have similar levels support. What’s more, there’s little reason to think that polling this earlier in the campaign can predict who will win Republicans’ votes when the primaries begin next year. People often change their minds about candidates.
Another method for determining how likely a candidate is to win an election is to analyze betting markets. If many people are willing to bet on a candidate to win the election, that candidate probably has a decent shot. Economists argue that bookmakers’ odds, though imperfect, are often better than polls at predicting the outcomes of elections.
Interesting factoid there, for those who didn’t know.
Fox granted candidates a podium in the prime-time debate next week only if their support in four recent national polls exceeded 2.5 percent on average. In two of the polls, Christie’s support was above that level at 3 percent. Yet in one poll conducted by Fox, his support stood at 2 percent. And in another poll by Investor’s Business Daily and the research group TIPP, his figure was only 1 percent, putting his average just below Fox’s threshold.
I have no idea where that 1-3% that supported Christie is going to go, but it is pretty well solidified that the final two are going to be the Donald and the Magic Negro.
If Republicans pick this Black guy over the Donald, we absolutely deserve to be exterminated.
