Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday that the Senate will vote “this week” on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, seemingly putting a firm deadline on the new FBI background investigation.
“The time for endless delay and obstruction has come to a close. Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination is out of committee. We’re considering it here on the floor,” Mr. McConnell said. “We’ll be voting this week.”
I don’t make hard predictions.
Certainly not in situations like this.
I have some ideas and some feelings, but I won’t share them.
I don’t know how this is going to go.
But I do think it’s likely they will force the vote to the floor this week.
