This language seems a bit too supervillainy.
But I guess that’s what Israel is going for?
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant told Air Force crews on Wednesday that after striking in Iran, the world will understand Israel’s might and its enemies will learn a lesson, according to a video and an X post published by his office.
Israel has been planning a response to a ballistic-missile barrage carried out by Iran on Oct. 1, Tehran’s second direct attack on Israel in six months.
“After we attack in Iran, they will understand in Israel and elsewhere what your preparations have included,” Gallant told the crews in the video, which his office said was filmed at Hatzerim Air Base.
On X, Gallant added: “In my conversation with them I emphasized – after we attack Iran, everyone will understand your might, the process of preparation and training – any enemy that tries to harm the State of Israel will pay a heavy price.”
The claim seems to be “we will use the attack on Iran to show that we destroy anyone who questions us!”
Of course, after Israel’s coming attack on Iran, the latter will respond semi-symmetrically, and then the US will have to come in and save Israel by starting a massive war with Iran. I guess what they will be showing people is the “might” they have in their ability not only to use American weapons to attack others, but to suck the US into wars.
It’s sort of surreal, this eye of the storm situation, where we are all just sitting around waiting for Israel to start a massive war, and literally no one in the United States is making an effort to prevent it, despite the fact that Washington has made it clear that their primary objective is fighting Russia and they have no real interest in a war against Iran.
