Family members of a 15-year-old high school student told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS their daughter was seriously injured after she was beaten by three other students at Minneapolis Edison High School Monday.
Family members, for safety reasons, asked 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS to not identify the girl or any family members when they agreed to talk with reporter Jay Kolls.
The father of the victim said his daughter was beaten in the Edison High School cafeteria after the girls who attacked her unsuccessfully tried to lure her into a bathroom.
“You can see in the video that they approach her in a premeditated way to hurt her,” the father said. “She has a concussion, serious contusions to her head and face and it could have been much worse.”
