In 2015 the federal republic experienced the highest level of immigration since its foundation. In the previous year there was net immigration of 1.139 million people, the Federal Statistics Office announced on Thursday.

The statisticians traced this in large part to the refugee crisis, but the increase in immigration from the new EU states also continued. In total 2.137 million people immigrated to Germany in the previous year. This corresponds to an increase in 672,000 or 46% compared to 2014. 998,000 people moved out of Germany, 83,000 more than the previous year. This gives net immigration of 1.14 million.

… The largest increase in net immigration came from outside of Europe with Syrians, where 298,000 more came to German last year than left. This meant an increase of 66,000 compared to 2014.

Note that of the 2 million invaders only around 300,000 are even claiming to be Syrian. So the idea that the invasion is a temporary phenomenon attributable to the war in Syria is false.
