Police have made an arrest stemming from a homicide in Avondale nine months ago.
According to a news release from the Avondale Police Department, Jorge Molina has been arrested in the death of Joseph Knight.
Officers responded around 12:15 a.m. on March 14 to a home near Central and Western avenues. Police arrived to find Knight already dead after being shot.
Court paperwork describes how investigators were able to focus on Molina by digging through data provided by Google about devices that passed through the same locations as a suspect vehicle observed on surveillance video.

In the criminal complaint, investigators said they did not find any shell casings or a gun inside Molina’s car or home, and he denied knowing about the murder. There was no mention of any motive for the killing.
Molina has been charged with first-degree murder and other felonies related to the shooting.
