Italian patriotic party Forza Nuova invited Golden Dawn, represented by MP Antonis Gregos, to an annual conference of European people’s nationalists. Attending the meeting hosted by Roberto Fiore were Nick Griffin of the British National Party, M. Canduela from the Spanish Democracia Nacional, and Jens Sphosen of the German NPD.
The conference was covered by the Italian state network RAI1, as well as many other networks across Europe. The presence of Golden Dawn was greeted with great respect, a highlight was when MP Gregos went up to speak and the delegates stood up and gave a standing ovation.
During his speech, the deputy of the Greek nationalist movement, A. Gregos gave a summary of the situation in Greece today and briefed the delegates on the recent wave of new political persecutions, emphasizing the vow that Golden Dawn will defy it and struggle until the final victory. He assured the audience that the People’s Association will participate in the upcoming elections even if they all are put in prison. His words were greeted with great enthusiasm at the event!
During their times, the nationalist guests and the leader of Forza Nuova R. Fiore, condemned the outrageous political persecution and unlawful imprisonment of Greek nationalists, and declared that Golden Dawn is a model for all European Nationalists.
The day before was more somber however. Together with member of our movement Antonis Gregos, nationalists took part in a march for the memory of Mikis Mantakas, which commemorates the great martyr-and symbol of European nationalism- in a solemn ceremony which is held every year in Piazza Risorgimento.
The visit began with the Italian nationalists of Casa Pound, who gave a great tour and information about their innovative projective and actions. From our side, we informed them about the latest developments on additional persecutions of the Golden Dawn. Particularly powerful was the solidarity of Casa Pound members to help us in any way they can.
On the evening of February 28th , they visited the old offices of the MSI and then participated in a silent march which ended at the site of the murder of Mikis Mantakas by anarchists. Delegations from numerous European nationalist groups attended this march to show their solidarity.
The passionate and solemn ceremony ended with the cry: MIKIS MANTAKAS- PRESENTE! Which vibrated throughout the square. Here, Nationalist freedom fighters renewed their call for all to fight for a Liberated Europe of Nations!
